________

Bridgeport, present day

Leigh sat up with a jolt, feeling confused and disoriented. She looked around the room; it was richly furnished in reds and blacks, velvets and silks. And it all came rushing back. Vladimir! He’d attacked her, and he must have brought there.

She gingerly sat on the edge of the bed, the room spun uncontrollably. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to block off memories of his brutality. He’d mercilessly slashed at her neck and wrists, making harsh, slurping sounds…draining her life line, sucking her dry.

God she wanted to break down and cry. She felt dirty, and used. Violated. But as hard as she tried to force the tears, they wouldn’t come. She was too numb inside. Empty. Her perfect night of passion with Krisis had ended so brutally, tainting the love she felt for him…
She fell back on the soft pillows again, stared up at the ceiling, trying to focus on a single point. She knew she had to get out of there, run for her life, but she was too weak to even lift her head again. It had taken her a lot of effort just to sit up moments before.

_________

It was dark when she opened her eyes again, the room was brightly lit. She heard rustling movements from some part of the room, but she didn’t dare to look. She knew it was him, his vile presence was too overpowering.

“Hello Laura.”

She ignored him. He was insane, that much was obvious, since he was constantly referring to her as Laura. He’d blurred the lines between reality and fantasy, and she was so afraid of how far he would take his twisted game…

“Get up, and wash yourself. His scent is all over you!” Vladimir growled harshly. Still she ignored him, curling herself into a small ball.
He roughly yanked her from the bed, and slapped her across the face. That sobered her up instantly, and with the little strength she still had, she clawed back at him, going for his eyes. But he was too quick for her. He gripped her wrists tightly, threw her back on the bed, twisting her neck, before tearing into her soft flesh.

‘Stop, please…You’re hurting me,” she cried, tears stinging the corners of her eyes.

“You like it rough don’t you? I saw you with him. I was there on the bridge. I saw you in his arms and I followed you to his place. You’re such a wanton little whore aren’t you? Well Laura, we’ll have us some fun tonight, but first, you need to wash up, put on the dress and join me in the dining room.” Vladimir got up from the bed, and wiped her blood from his lips with the sleeve of his jacket.
He stared at her for a long time, hate mingled with desire, his lips curled crudely.

“Supper will be served at 7 sharp. Don’t be late. The dress is in the closet. I never got rid of it, all these years, when you went to him, I held on to it. It’s the only reminder of you that I kept.” His voice was tender when he said this, throwing Leigh further into confusion. One minute he seemed to be filled with a burning hate for his Laura, the next he was consumed by tenderness. She wondered if he’d treated the real Laura so brutally too. If he had, then she didn’t blame the woman for running to Krisis…
Oh Krisis. Her heart squeezed painfully, missing him, wishing she was in his arms. But he was so far away. Twinbrook was miles and miles away. He didn’t even know she was in trouble, and she needed him. And Devon, he’d be worried sick about her…She had to go home. Maybe if she explained nicely to Vladimir he’d understand…

“I want to go home,” Leigh whispered. “Please, I’m not Laura, I never left you. I’m Ashleigh. You have to let me go. My brother…”

“Don’t you see, you are mine Laura? You belong to me. This is your home…This is where you belong. You’re the mistress of the house, and I’m so glad to have you back. The Manor’s been awfully lonely without you!” He turned on his heel, and left the room.
Leigh ran out into the balcony as soon as the door closed behind him.  All her hopes vanished when she saw she was surrounded by woods all around her. She was on the second floor, and if she jumped she’d mostly like break her neck, and crush her skull. But at least it would be quick and painless.

Vladimir wanted to make her his blood slave, drink from her whenever he wanted, however he wanted, no consideration for her feelings or how traumatic the experience was for her. She would die first before she’d let him…

  1. "More" lol I love it! And yes Vladimir is not disappointing me at all! Woot for baddies (I'm sick lol) his character is demented too! Delusional and demented! I can't wait for Krisis to save Leigh though! Or Devon...hopefully one will come soon :)

  2. LOL, yeah I thought of you when I was adding the "more"
Vladimir is a villain of all villains I think, and he deserves every bad thing to happen to him.

Krisis is in Twinbrook so chances of him showing up, and breaking down doors are almost non existent, unless he hears about this somehow :)

  3. Poor Leigh!! God that has to be a horrible experience! I hope she doesn't develop a hate from vampires after this!

  4. It is a heartbreaking experience Qui, and it pained me to writer it, but then if I didn't then it would mean the world is a glossy place and there's no evil, and that would be unrealistic, I think especially since Vlad has been portrayed as an evil nut in previous prompts.

Sadly, that is a possibility, her love for Krisis has been tainted by this horrible ordeal, so she might just end up hating all vampires.

  6. Wow, Vlad is one deluded vampire. It is almost tragic. Yes, I feel a bit sorry for him. Brutal and nutso he may be. Well done.

  7. well I don't blame her for hating all vampires. It's like when you get bitten by a snake: doesn't mean all snakes bite, but only a crazy person would pick one up again.

I think she'll make an exception...
