Cameron's residence...
Bridgeport, present day...
The call was unexpected and it came at an awkward time.
Cameron thrust into Liza hard, again, working off his frustration, before he reached for his phone on the nightstand. She writhed over him, begging him to keep fucking her.
"Don't tell me you're going to answer that!" Liza hissed, pushing herself down on him, trying her best to keep him locked inside of her.
He gave her a warning look; he wasn't in the mood for her nagging.
"It’s important," he growled, flipping her on to her back so he could get away from her.
He didn't understand the relief he felt as soon as he freed himself of her.
Sex with Liza had become an ineffective tool, something he used to forget the one person he wanted to always remember. The same person calling him now. He'd know her ring tone even in his deepest of sleeps.
Cameron walked out to his balcony, unfazed by the cold night air hitting his stark-naked body. He never felt cold. None of them did.
His heart was racing, he gripped the railing tightly with one hand, and the other crushed the small device in his palm as he tried hard to control his shaking hand.
He was nervous. Hadn't felt that way towards a woman in ages. He wondered what it was about this seventeen year old that had him knots.
The ringing in his palm stopped. He'd taken too long to answer. Just as well, he wouldn't have known what to say to her.
He'd thought some distance would do them good, help him get over this insane thing he felt for her, but it hadn't. In fact he found himself wanting her more and more every day, needing her laughter, her smile, her chatter, as much as he needed the very air to breathe.
On more than one occasion he'd had to force himself to stop thinking about their intense moment in his patio and the kiss that almost was.
But he couldn't forget the moment. Or the kiss. He wanted them both, and he wasn't sure just how much longer he could deny it...
Just a little more time, a few more weeks, and then he'd take his chances. He told himself, thinking about Michaela's birthday.
He stayed outside for a few more minutes, dreading the confrontation waiting for him inside. He didn't know when he'd reached the decision, but Liza had to go. This thing they had, had run its course. It wouldn't survive another day.
He was almost at the door when his phone rang again in his palm. This time he answered it without a moment's thought. He wanted to see her. Tell her what he'd decided.
His heart sank to his feet when he heard her anguished cry. It took him a good few minutes to get her to calm down and tell him where she was.
"I'm on my way, sit tight," he told her before he hung up.
Liza was sitting up in bed, waiting for him to pick up where they'd left off when he came in.
"You need to leave Liza. I can't be with you anymore," he told her politely, making his way to the bathroom.
He took a quick shower, removing all traces of Liza from him. He couldn't go to Michaela smelling like another woman. Why he'd even allowed himself to touch another female when all he wanted was her was beyond him. He shook his head at his own stupidity, wishing he'd had the guts not to have sent her away from the start. This was all his fault, if he'd kissed Michaela and followed his heart Liza's anger wouldn't be filling up his house right now, threatening to get her revenge on him.
Liza was still in his bed fifteen minutes later when he headed for the front door. He ignored her; he'd said all he was going to say to her...
_______
Hollow Creek, present day...
Cameron looked up at the blood red sky, sunrise was moments away and they'd have to head indoors soon.
As he rushed inside the station, he hoped she was still where she said she'd be.
He breathed a huge sigh of relief when he saw her, crouched in the corner of the ladies bathroom, with her head bowed down, the dark silky strands on her head blocked her face.
"Hey," he held out his hand for her.
Warning bells went off in his head when he saw the smudged blood stains on the front of her t-shirt.
Michaela looked up.
One hand flew to his lips, to block out a horrified gasp when he saw her face. Her eyes were swollen and puffy, like she'd been crying nonstop. But it wasn't that that scared him, it was the dullness and the vacant expression in the blue pools he loved so much.
The look in her eyes reminded him of the war victims he’d seen numerous times on his assignments as a photo journalist, like she’d witnessed and survived a mass massacre.
"I don't remember, I was inside the bar and I woke up out in the back alley, covered in blood and I saw him, but I thought it was raspberry juice. I thought he was sleeping. But he wasn't, and it wasn't raspberry juice. You have to help me. I called my parents, but I couldn't get through! I called Krisis and Leigh too. No one’s answering their phones." She was screaming her guts out by now, shaking in his arms, and he had no frigging clue how to help her.
But he held her anyway. She needed solid ground to stand on, and he’d be there for her and help her through it, as best as he could.
"Where’s the body?" he asked calmly, holding her away from him a little. She shook her head, choking on her sobs, shuddering in his arms.
It took a good few minutes to get the whole truth out of her and by the time she was done, Cameron couldn't believe the nightmare he was in.
He kept thinking any second now his alarm on his nightstand would go off and he'd wake up and find it was all a dream, a horrifying dream.
But her heartbreaking sniffles, made sure he knew this wasn't some nightmare he'd soon awaken from. The woman he loved with his heart and soul had killed a random stranger, and he was about to cover it up for her because letting the law deal with her wasn't an option.
At that moment, Cameron had never felt such fury in his life. But it wasn't directed at her. This wasn't her fault. He was mad at her parents. They should have seen she was in bloodlust and needed to be taught how to hunt without killing her victims, but his band mates had been too caught up in their shit to notice anything! He had to have a word with them, make them see…
_____
Waylon's Haunt, Hollow Creek...
Ten minutes later, Cameron stopped the car in front of the small grocery store, and he checked the coordinates on the GPS.
Yep, they were on the right street, McAdams Road. He vaguely made out the name of the dive bar across. Waylon's Haunt. It looked so different from the one in Bridgeport. He wondered what in the world had possessed her to come out here.
I could just ask her, he thought as they pushed out of the car. The wild look in her eyes though told him now wasn’t the time for questions and demands. She was in a bad way, she’d made a huge mess and he had to help her out.
He made sure all the windows of his car were closed and he double checked he’d locked the doors before he followed her across the street.
Fine particles of sand crunched beneath their feet as they made their way to the alley behind Waylon’s Haunt.
“He was here. I swear I left him here, behind this trashcans,” Michaela cried as she paced around the dump site.
She stopped a few times to stare at him with a blank look in her eyes, as if expecting an answer from him, like he should know what had happened to the body of the man she’d supposedly killed.
“Well he’s not here now,” Cameron replied as he stuffed his hands in his pocket. If the blood pool on the ground where she said she’d left the body wasn’t there, he would have thought she’d dreamed up the whole thing.
Michaela whipped up her head; the confused look was gone now. She was angry. She’d misunderstood his comment, and she thought he thought she was making things up.
“You don’t believe me?” She glared at him, her ink black hair flying around her like a super hero’s cape. He cringed at his metaphors. For a lyricist, he was awfully bad when it came to saying and thinking poetic things about women.
“That's not what I said,” he put up his hands defensively.
Michaela calmed down at his words. Her steam suddenly gone, she sank on the ground and wept.
Her pain cut him like a knife and paralyzed him in to a numbness he’d never felt before. He couldn’t even imagine what she was going through, and he had no idea how to help her. But he had to try.
“Listen to me,” he knelt in front of her and tilted up her chin, forcing her to look at him. But Michaela resisted, and glued her eyes to the crack on the ground between her feet.
“He’s not dead. If he was, he would be here,” Cameron told her over and over as he ran a comforting hand through her hair.
“I swear, he was dead when I left him,” she whispered, rocking herself back and forth, her head nestled on her knees.
“He’s not dead. Dead guys don’t just walk up and leave, Mickey. We have to tell your folks. Let’s get you home.”
________
Krimsyn and J.D's penthouse
Bridgeport, present day...
Her parents were waiting for her when she got home.
“Do you have any idea how worried we were when we woke up and you were not home? We tried to call you but your phone was on voicemail. Where have you been? And why is your phone on voicemail? Why didn’t you tell us you’re not coming home?” Krimsyn quickly got into her role of the aggrieved parent, as if she’d been rehearsing it the whole morning.
J.D. smiled uncertainly in the background, he had no clue how to steer the approaching battle to neutral ground.
“Not now, mom!” Michaela hissed, walking away from them.
She knew she was wrong, she should have called them after calling Krisis and Cameron earlier, but her phone’s battery had died soon after that and that’s why they couldn’t reach her.
At that moment though, tired and petrified out of her head, Michaela wasn’t in the mood to explain herself to her parents. She’d had a hell of a night and morning; the last thing she needed was reprimands about skipping curfew. She’d taken enough shit from Cameron the whole ride home.
He’d wanted to come with her and talk to her parents, but she’d begged him to stay out of it. She’d promised him she’d handle it. And she would. Just as soon as she’d come to grips with everything.
Michaela rushed to her room and banged her door hard behind her, silently issuing a red alert; no one should set foot beyond the door.
But her mom, being the hothead that she was, ignored the warning and forced her way through.
“Excuse me! You don’t walk away when I’m talking to you!” Krimsyn flung the door open.
Michaela half-turned from the closet, the stunned expression stayed frozen on her face.
Krimsyn placed a hand on her hip and tapped her foot, impatiently waiting for an explanation or an apology. Or both.
“Look, I’m sorry I missed curfew. But I really, really need to be alone right now,” Michaela explained.
She closed her eyes, let out a tearful sigh, and listened to a sob catch in her throat. She quickly bit it back.
She couldn’t fall apart in front of her mom. If she did she’d want to know why, and she couldn’t tell her. It was so scary, so dark, so horrifying.
Something in her voice gave her away though. Krimsyn’s eyes softened a little.
Michaela gratefully accepted her soothing arms as she pulled her into a long hug.
“We were so worried about you, that’s all,” Krimsyn told her as they drew apart.
After endless assurances on her part that she was fine, Michaela finally managed to get rid of her mom. As soon as the door clicked in place, she dived for it and turned the key.
With her back firmly pressed against the light wood, she slowly slid to the mirrored floors, her reflection rising up to meet her.
She hung her head in shame and wept, praying for absolution, pleading for deliverance…

Krisis reached over 50 000 hits a few days ago! Thank you to everyone who keeps coming back for more, without you, there would't be any hits!

Beautifully done this chapter. You can really feel her pain. I agree with Cam, her parents should pay more attention to her.
ReplyDeleteYou really had me with the first call, when the ringing stopped! I am so glad he answered the second time, but I do wonder how Krisis would have reacted. :)
I really feel her pain. I'm so glad Cam's back even if it is because of this situation. My theory still stands. I think someone is out to get her in order to hurt Krisis. Hopefully they will be able to see her pain and quit being all caught up in their own lives.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Cam will talk to Krisis.
Poor Michaela. I'm happy that at least she has Cam back and he is assured of his feelings now. She has someone on her side ready to listen and help her when she needs. It may have come a little late but that was all she needed.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Cameron came to help her. He finally acknowledges his true feelings for her.
ReplyDeleteMaybe after the shock wears off, she can tell her parents what happened. I hope this was a wake up call for them, and they start giving her the attention needs now!
I loved both updates! I was so glad to see it when I logged on today!
Wow, I finally caught up a few days ago and today when I logged on Livejournal, I just had this feeling that you updated Krysis again, and I'm so happy you did. I've missed so many chapters, but I'm extremely pleased that I was able to catch up.
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for Michaela. What she did was wrong, yes, but she's really going down a downward spiral now. I can't help, but feel that there is something even worse coming her way. If she doesn't tell her parents, I'm afraid the guilt will just slowly tear her apart. I hope Cam can really convince her to tell her parents, or anyone else for that matter. It's the right thing to do, before things get even worse.
As for the Cam and Michaela relationship, it seems so wrong, but SO right. They just seem to kind of complete one another, and Michaela needed him now more than ever, and he was there for her. He was there, when no one else was, which should prove to her, how much Cam truly cares, whether he shows it or not.
And I have to agree with Dutchy. I would love to see how Krisis would have reacted. I can only imagine how much he would freak out knowing his niece might have potentially killed someone. I guess that's why things worked out like they did. Cam was more soothing and calm in the situation, while Krisis would have been either been completely off his rocker, or overbearingly angry.
Eeep, I missed this story so much and I can't wait to read more. I WANT TO SEE THE BABIES VALLLL~. :D ❤❤❤
Dutchy,
ReplyDeleteThank you. Cam is right about all of it, and he will tell them exactly what he thinks of both of them a few chapters from now.
LOL. Sorry. I just had to prolong the suspense.
Krisis would have come to her aide no questions asked.
Jazen,
ReplyDeleteI like your theory, and down the line, perhaps, but as of right now, Michaela's encounter with that boy was purely by chance. Who knows where it will lead, now that his body is missing.
Cam will talk to her parents and it won't be nice.
Thanks for reading.
Dj,
ReplyDeleteYeah, he is assured of his feelings for her, but things can change very quickly.
Thanks for reading.
11daisies,
ReplyDeleteYou, me and Michaela! It was about time he came out of hiding and confronted his feelings for her.
That's what she plans to do, but it will take a very long time before she gets to that point. She's still trying to deal with what she did and sharing it with her parents seems like a bit too much for her right now.
Thank you. That makes me so happy to know you loved them both.
brookeshire,
ReplyDeleteOMG *faints*
You have no idea how stoked I am to hear from you.
*hugs*
Wow, that must have been a lot of reading for you. I'm pleased you caught up and thank you for finding your way back here again. It means a lot to me.
I couldn't agree more about Mickey and she knows it too, and I think it will be a long time before she craves human blood again. If Cam fails at convincing her, he'll take matters into his own hands and deal with it his way.
That is so true. Their potential relationship has a lot of people divided, but I have to agree with you about how they seem to complete one another. As for Mickey, she'll always remember this period, especially how he came through for her.
Krisis would have helped Mickey, no questions asked, he's been in a similar situation and he did notice she was in blood lust, if nothing else, he would have helped out of his own guilt. True, Cam was exactly what Michaela needed in this case and it will go a long way when it comes to convincing her parents of his feelings for her.
LOL. The babies will be arriving soon. I know, it's been forever, but I just couldn't find a gap to bring them in till the last chapter for this season.
Again, it's so good to hear from you again.
Don't be a stranger!
Its so TRAGIC! I feel really awful for her...She didn't even mean to. She can't even remember doing it. It wasn't really her fault! She was out of control and there was nobody around that could help her through this...
ReplyDeleteI think she needs to talk to her mum. Her mother might never have killed anybody, but she would help her! And her dad, he was in the secret service and what not, he's probably killed people before?
I'm so glad Cam came for her though! I KNEW he would!! I sooo totally completely knew it! Awh... I really don't like that Liza girl. Ok, maybe she's actually really nice and she likes to stare at the moon and pick daisies and - NO, I CANNOT LIKE HER FORGET IT.
I hope this is a step towards Cam and Her being together. I think it's good that he didn't kiss her, no matter how awesome it would have been. It shows that he's adult enough to be with her right?
When's her birthday?? Will there be an EPIC AWESOME PARTY!?!? :D
Those two chapters were completely amazing. You wrote all of her feelings so well, all that pain and shame and anguish she was feeling, I think it was all communicated really well. I loved it in a hate way, love because it was really good and hate because it was about something so awfull awful sad facery.
I wish Krisis could have been there, what with his understanding what she's going through, but It was better that Cam was there. He came through for her and thuas their love relashionship ca be built on that right? Trustworthy he is.
<3 Teeeeehehehehe Cam was naked! Hehehehe... LOL! :D I'm such a schoolgirl when it comes down to it, it's scary.
I LOVED that picture of a sunset in Hollow Creek! It was actually so beautiful!
Cameron comes to her rescue again. At least someone cares enough about her to realize she needed help.
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you described his feeling towards her. How he realized what he was doing with Liza was a bandaid. How he had finally decided to go after her when she had her birthday.
Wow! Maybe she didn't kill the boy then. That would get rid of some of her guilt at least. However, I sense she's still very fragile. Hopefully her parents realize she needs them, despitebeing wrapped up in their own shit.
Poor girly =( I feel bad for her...But Yes he is still alive >=D I kinda feel bad for Cameron and is unapproved love....
ReplyDeleteGreat chapter btw!
Btw you didnt answer my question on chapter 17
ReplyDeleteRose, sorry, I replied on TS3 site, but yes, I don't mind downloading sliders, so make me those sims.
ReplyDeleteI think the pictures for this story are consistently the best I've seen for TS3!
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to help Michaela before she goes into some kinda deep depression. She seems understandably torn up about this and someone has to cheer her up!
Oh and I would love to see this 'Liza' try to get her revenge on a Vampire heh.
looks like the dead walks again with Michaela's victim. It should be an interesting encounter should they ever see each other again.
Great updates and congrats on all the hits!
Rose, I know what you mean, I feel bad for both of them, she didn't mean any harm, and he didn't choose to fall in love with her. Hopefully once everything settles down they'll talk and decide what to do.
ReplyDeleteHolley,
ReplyDeleteYep, leave it to Cam to save the day :-) true, he does care enough for her, but her parents do too, they've just been blinded by everything else around them.
Lol, I serioysly struggle with writing from a male's POV, so I'm flattered you liked the way Cam's insight into his own feelings was shown. I couldn't agree more, what he was doing with Liza was bandaid, and thank heavens he realized it before he goes after Mickey.
The boy's not dead, that's for sure, but him being alive could cause more problems than if he was dead. Again, you're right, she is still very much fragile and her parents will come to their senses over the next few chapters.
Thanks for reading.
Aeon,
ReplyDeleteWow, that put a huge smile on my face. I've seen better, but I'll graciously accept the compliment. Thank you.
I agree, if left alone she can and will sink into depression. But Cam won't let that happen.
Lol @ Liza's revenge. You'll see her in action in the chapter titled After Dark.
Absolutely! She hadn't seen the last of him. But that's season 5 material.
Thank you, and thanks for reading!
VAL! You are waaaay to sweet! I cant believe you! Just gifting me for no reason! You are awesome! =D =D =D Thank you

Rose, you're very welcome and thanks for the simself. I'll be downloading her as soon as I get home. Is she a teen? If she is, she'll be one of Mickey's friends :)
ReplyDeleteEni,
ReplyDeleteAw, don't hate me now. LOL. I know, it's tragic, but they have to go through some sadness before they can all be sickeningly happy.
I concur, none of this was her fault, and she really didn't mean to hurt him or kill him.
She does need to talk to Krimsyn, and they will, but their chat comes much later. And Krimsyn would def help her out.
LOL @ the Cam comment. I think you and the rest of the readers knew he would come for her. And you haven't seen the worst of Liza yet. It's coming, in the After Dark party chapter.
You could say that, about this this being the step to being together, but Cam won't rush her into anything right now. He knows she's at a bad place right now, and pushing her into a relationship is the last thing she needs.
Her birthday is roughly five weeks from now in the story, but only in Season 5 and I kind of wanted a low key event, just family and friends, but it's not everyday you turn eighteen, so maybe I'll throw her that huge bash after all.
Thank you. I still find it strange when people say that about my writing, because to me it all sounds so bland.
Yeah, Krisis would have been amazing too, and he would have surprised a lot of people. He has nothing but mad love for his niece and like Cam, he would do anything for her, including covering up a murder.
And you're so right, Cam and Mickey's future relationship seems to be set on a solid foundation, hopefully it continues down that path.
LOL. I still owe you a nekid Krisis. LMAO.
Thank you. It was actuallu supposed to be a sunrise, but I overdid it with the light effect in photoshop and the end result was a sunset look-alike. DH said the same thing as you about that pic.
Thank you so, so much, for all your constant support and feedback!
Is there a new vampire? Huh? Huh? Is there? *bounces up and down like a kid in a disney commercial*
