Bridgeport, present day
They kissed for a while on his couch, in front of the fire, before making their way upstairs to his bedroom. He gently laid her down on the bed…The bed he’d shared with Leigh.
It should have been her under him, her legs wrapped around his back, ready to welcome his lustful thrusts. It should have been her he was kissing. But she’d left him with no explanations, just a damn note telling him she didn’t love him anymore.
He got angry just thinking about her note. His grip tightened around the redhead’s neck, his fingers roughly roaming through her hair. His kiss hardened, she moaned loudly, begging him to fuck her. And he froze…
For a long time he stared at her, and she continued to smile at him uncertainly.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, forcing his lips back to hers, but he pulled away again.
“I’m sorry, I can’t do this!” He growled and pulled away from her, throwing on his t-shirt.
“Don’t you want me? I’ll do anything you want. You can bite me, I don’t mind,” the redhead cried softly, seeing her chance of being fucked by a vampire rock star vanish as quickly as it had materialized.
He stared outside his window, watched the lights in the buildings beyond the glass come to life one by one, and he wished his heart would start beating again.
“What’s your name?” He asked softly, still not looking at her. He was afraid if he turned around she’d see the tears in his eyes, see him bleed for Leigh.
“Rachel,” she replied.
“Rachel, go home. My wallet is on the dining table, take whatever you need. There’s a phone downstairs. Call for a taxi to pick you up. Bringing you here was mistake. I’m sorry,” he apologized.
He heard her shocked gasps, the angry rustling of her clothes as she threw them on, and her hasty footsteps retreat from the room before slowly making her way back.
“You’re full of shit, you know that!” She screamed at him before leaving his bedroom for good.
“I know!” He murmured to the empty room.
When he was sure he was alone he broke down at last, and cried like a baby. God he missed Leigh. He wanted her. Couldn’t live without her, and she’d left him. He gave her his heart, and she smashed it to pieces.
This was the first and only time he would bleed for her. After tonight he was done. Done looking for her. Done waiting for her to make up her mind and reach out to him…He would mourn her for the rest of the night…But tomorrow, his heart firmly belonged to Lily. She would never leave him…She would never let him down. Lily, he would count on…

~ I feel so sad for Krisis,he did try to carry on with his life with out Leigh,to try & forget in the arms of anouther, but,he could not,he knew all he wanted was Leigh,then he came to the conclusion that Leigh did not want him!

The thought of getting it on with Jackie again must give him nightmares, I think.
-Karima, sorry this made you sad. But he loves Leigh too much, and he thought about the mess with Jackie, Lily was conceived because he'd tried to get Leigh out of his system with another woman, and this could very well have turned out to be history repeating itself.

Typical isn't it? Me too, I was shocked he did that, but then he quickly got into my good books when he sent Rachel home.
Right now he's emotional and exhausted, and the self pity doesn't help, but chances of his giving up on Leigh are as slim as him and Jackie having another baby.

ReplyDeleteI caught up and I have to say, the last few chapters were great! I just can't believe what's going, so many things!
As far as Leigh and her expedition to Champ Les Sims, I hope she gets to return home soon! I love Jesse and Shaun, but I don't like what they are scheming. I think it's really shady of them, especially since they know that Leigh is in such a rough state.
Now for Krisis, what the heck is he thinking?! I understand that he can't keep running after Leigh, but I don't know why he's giving up now. If he truly loved her, he would at least try to find her so he could get a proper explanation.
I absolutely hated it when he brought Rachel home. That made me sick to my stomach, because I love him and Leigh together way too much! The part where he was crying really touched me too, but I didn't like the fact that he was thinking about giving up on his ~true love~.
Jumping over to the other perspective though, I do have to agree that he should make his child his number one priority. He needs to be there for Lily, because he is completely right, she will be there for him always and love him regardless of the choices he makes.
GREAT AS ALWAYS, sorry I always say that. I probably sound like a broken record, but you do such a phenomenal job, I think you deserve to hear it every time.

I understand that he is in pain and that causes us all to do things we normally wouldn't do. But moping around and crying feeling sorry for yourself won't bring Leigh back.

ReplyDeleteLeigh will return home, but she first to wrap up her unfinished business in Champs Les Sims and Barnacle Bay. I’m glad you love those two, but you’re right, their scheming and planning is underhanded, and won’t end well for many.
Krisis just got a bad bout of self-pity, and the guilt at what he almost did with Rachel sent him further into his depressed state. He will shake it off, and he will continue to look for Leigh, or get Ben to carry on, but his primary focus is Lily, and the band needs him too since they are in the middle of recording.
I understand, that scene with Rachel made me uncomfortable too, especially when he was starting to think of his place as his home with Leigh. Aw, I’m so glad you felt his pain there, I was so afraid he’ll come across as a wuss, or a sissy, since men aren’t supposed to cry.
Definitely, the biggest priority should be Lily; she needs him to be 100% present in his life, and it’s his job to be there for her, and raise to be a great member of society; he doesn’t expect nor trust Jackie to do a decent job, knowing how conniving and vindictive she is.

ReplyDeleteSurely the fact that his love is so strong for Leigh should be enough to motivate him to do his damndest to find her. He needs a break from everyone else methinks. A break so he can do his own detective work because clearly Ben is useless.
Also I’m glad he didn’t do anything with Rachel. I’m sure he’s starved for fresh blood but if Leigh’s blood is all he can think of then this redhead’s blood isn’t going to quench that thirst. It might have just set him on an endless hunting spree trying to chase the high he gets from Leigh.

ReplyDeleteI wish it was that simple for Krisis to just forget everyone so he can focus on finding Leigh, but he's a father, and he has obligations to the band. But I get what you mean, Ben is more concerned with his other activities. He's got no sense of urgency.
True, only Leigh will satisfy his hunger; and once he starts drinking from randon sources, he will be on a downward spiral.

He should kidnap Lily and go on a mission to find Leigh. But that's wishful thinking because that cow Jackie will no doubt put a wrench in the works. I really want to see Leigh and Krisis reunited.
