__________

Bridgeport, present day

Tamsyn’s heart sang with joy when she opened the door and found Devon there. She smiled, savoring her small victory. She was right. He couldn’t live without her. Surely he was back to beg for her forgiveness.
She held his eyes, before roaming down his length. Her lustful gaze settled on his expansive chest, and her body tingled just from remembering how great it was to be held in his arms in the throes of passion.

She missed him. She missed him something awful.
“Can we come in?” Devon asked, and Eloise came out of the shadows, blocking the sunlight in the doorway.

“What the hell is she doing here? You have a nerve bringing this bitch to my house!” She shrieked at him, dragging Cheryl out of the house, a glass in hand.
When Cheryl saw Devon, she quickly made a beehive for her room. She didn’t want to get caught up in her daughter’s drama. She poured herself another shot, lit a cigarette, and forgot about it as soon as she picked up her glass again.

Shit, she’d hoped Devon was there to get Tamsyn, but when she saw the other woman, hanging on to his arm like a man purse she knew she’d have no such luck.
Beyond Cheryl’s bedroom window, the heated exchange was still raging on, Tamsyn refusing to let Eloise inside. Eventually Leigh’s best friend made her way back to her car, and Devon followed his ex into her living room.

“What do you want Devon? You know, for a second I thought you were back for me. I’m such an idiot!” She shook her head sadly, tears brimming in her eyes.

“I’m sorry. I wouldn’t be here if I had a choice. Leigh’s missing.” He waited for his words to sink in, but Tamsyn just gave him a blank stare.
“I've been asking around, people who know her, her friends. I thought you might have seen her...When was the last time you spoke to her?” He continued, but she just shrugged carelessly, as if the mere thought of thinking about his sister was a waste of time.

“When I still shared your bed,” she retorted waspishly.

“I’m worried about her, for her safety. Please, if there’s anything you can tell me…” He choked on his words, and she looked up, concern in her eyes.
“I’m sorry I can’t help you. I haven’t seen Leigh in a while. Why don’t you ask the Frosts? She’s been hanging around there a lot, isn't it?” Her voice was much softer now.

“I did, they have no idea where she is, and they’ve cut their tour short. They are on the way home as we speak, but I can’t sit by and wait for their help. I have to find her!"

When he finally dragged himself out of bed, the day Leigh went missing, he was shocked to find an empty house. He'd wrongfully concluded she'd gone back to Krisis' place, and he didn't bother calling her. But after almost a day of no contact with her, he'd started worrying, and he'd called the Frosts. Michaela had informed him Krisis and her parents were in Twinbrook, they left the same morning Krisis dropped Leigh off at home. That's when he knew something was wrong. Leigh could not have gone to Twinbrook...Her cellphone was off, and it wasn't like her to just disappear without a word. Of the two of them, Leigh was the responsible one, his baby sister, and now she was gone.

She was missing for three days now. The cops had no leads, and he knew chances of her being found alive decreased dramatically with each passing minute. After hours of being transferred from one phone operator to another, he’d finally gotten through to Krisis last night.
Devon paced Tamsyn's living room, hoping she'd change her mind, tell him something, anything. Just as long as it would help find Leigh. He was a mess. He couldn't sleep, eat or even think straight...If only he hadn't gone to bed. He should have waited until she was safely inside their apartment. He should have stayed up...and now she was gone. It was all his fault.

Tamsyn’s shocked gasp stopped him mid-stride, and he frowned at her.

“What’s wrong?” He asked. She looked deathly pale, like she’d seen a ghost or something.

“I---There was a man, a few weeks ago, a vampire at Waylon’s haunt,” she cried shrilly, unable to form a complete sentence.

She felt it in her gut, the vampire she met at the watering hole had something to do with Leigh’s disappearance. She shuddered when she remembered his burning eyes, the endless personal questions about Leigh…

Oh God, could she be responsible for this mess?
“What man? What vampire?” Devon demanded; he was very close to squeezing the life out of her.

“I forgot his name. He was dark and scary, and I was at Waylon’s. He found me there, we got talking. I ranted about you and I must have mentioned Leigh because after that he seemed awfully interested in her…” She didn’t get to finish her story, she slowly backed away from Devon, convinced he was about to throttle her.
“You sold her out? Sold my sister out to a vampire you didn’t even know? What is wrong with you?” He thundered, inching closer to her.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to tell him, but it was like something had taken over me, like he was controlling my mind somehow. As soon as I mentioned how Leigh looked like Laura, and Krisis freaked because of that, Vladimir…yes, that was his name…He started grilling me and I couldn’t stop myself. I told him stuff,” she whispered, her eyes pleading for mercy.

“You'd better pray Leigh's found safe and sound, or so help me God, I am coming after you Tamsyn, and your vampire friend. I will kill you, make no mistake about it!” Devon whispered in an icy voice, before walking out. She sagged against the couch and cried with relief, grateful she wasn’t dead.
“See, I was right, when a man sends you packing, he means it!” Cheryl teetered into the room, a vacant expression in her eyes.

“Shut up mother!” Tamsyn hissed, and scrambled to her feet, quickly collecting her handbag. There must be something she could do to right this wrong, to win back Devon’s affections...

  2. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG that was AWESOME! GO DEVON! WOOT! So hot when he's angry! LOL sorry. I am calmer now. But wow! I really hope he finds Leigh soon and 3 days?! Wow! That long really? Poor Leigh she's just being drained :( And Karima I could not agree more! I am just itching to see Krisis in battle /swoon /flutter /sigh.

If there is a word stronger than addicting that's me...for reals!

  3. Karima, you're right, there seems to be hope for Leigh after all. Krisis knows already who has Leigh, he figured that out when he got Devon's call, and it will get ugly. Let's hope he'll be man enough and do the right thing when the time comes.
    Thanks Karima!

  4. LMAO, Daijahv!

Looks like you and Qui will have to fight for Devon.

Yeah Devon so angry, is a sight we hardly see. Tamsyn didn't see that one coming. She's never seen him that way, and him threatening her was just a stunner.

Yeah it's been 3 days, in the last prompt, Paranoia, I mentioned it was Leigh's second evening at the manor, and today/present day, being the third.

    Krisis...let's hope he doesn't disappoint.

I love, love Cheryl. She and Krimsyn are just beauties to work with, they make the strangest, funniest, facial expressions I've seen, and I thought that last shot showed off her vacant expression perfectly.

Thank you, I still can't get over your addiction and excitement over this.

  5. I knew Dev would come riding to the rescue, and I sure hope Krisis puts on his blurr-run and high tails it back to town - he may have to save both Leigh AND Dev!

LOVE Devon's determination - he really gave it to Tamsyn, and I love that he brough Eloise with him. If he bought bilboard space, he couldn't send a clearer message, but psycho still thinks she can get him back.

While it's great that she wants for fix things, she only wants to do so because it will help her. (At least in her mind, she thinks it will) I don't see that ending well for her - I just wonder for Vlad's sake, if you drink the blood of a psycho, does it make you crazy too? (Or in his case, crazier? Lol!)

I Agree, Dev's hot when he's angry! (is that wrong?) And I can't believe how much I love Cheryl! Even the drunk thiks Tamsyn's a nut job! Lol!

I can't wait to see what happens next!!! I'm SO on the edge of my seat!

  6. Jill, this made me grin so hugely. I love the idea of his blur-run, for Leigh he will :) Agreed, the way Devon's feeling and acting right now, he may do more harm than good. He just needs to sit tight and wait for the Frosts.

Yeah, bringing Eloise with him was a huge step and a billboard post. She's not just a rebound. She's in his life for good, and still Tamsyn doesn't get it. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for her.

You're right, she's not fixing things because she's feeling remorseful, she just wants to get back on Devon's good side.

Interesting you should point out the issue with drinking from a psycho...In his case, drinking from an insane person may have done something to his psyche, and that's what he is what is now. This is going to be explained in a later prompt.

You too, you're joining Team Dev? Hello, there's still Krisis you know, I don't see anyone rooting for him. LOL!

LOL, sit back, relax, I don't want you falling off your seat.

    Thanks for reading Jill.

  8. Hold up, I have to fight for my love? lol

I can't believe that after all this Tamsyn is only interested in fixing this to win back his affection! She really could use that padded room right now.

Poor Dev and Eloise! I can imagine how hard this must be.
I see Krimsyn taking blame for this even though it's not her fault.
I guess we are about to see Krisis angry! *tongue out drooling*

  9. At least they know who has her now, it won't be long before Krisis is back and heads off to save her. :)

  10. I don't think Tamsyn realizes that the more she acts like a bitch, she's just pushing Devon farther away. I love Cheryl. She seems to be the voice of reason for Tamsyn, but Tamsyn doesn't seem to be able to let go just yet.

I was quite surprised that Eloise was acting so cowardly. I took her as more as of a person that wouldn't be afraid to stand up to someone.

As for the Frosts coming back, I can not wait to see some Vlad butt get kicked. The only thing that worries me is that since he's older, he's obviously more powerful right? So I hope Krisis can save Leigh!

And I just got the funniest reference in my head. I am such a gaming nerd, but....

    Krisis: Mario
    Keigh: Princess Peach
    Vlad: Bowser.

And the creepy castle-like Manor just adds on to that lol.

Okay, nerdiness is over! Can't wait for the next prompt. <3

    Thanks for reading.

  12. Qui, yep, it looks like it. I tried to reserve him just for you, but Daijahv seems smitten with him. What can I say, the boy has charm.

You're right, Tamsyn's only concern is fixing things with Dev, not to help Leigh out. But at this stage, there's really nothing she can do to fix things and to also win Devon over. I mean, he's threatened to kill her. I think it doesn't get clearer than that.

Dev is finding it hard to deal with it all, especially since he thinks he could have done something to protect her. And Eloise is torn up too, but she's trying to be strong for Dev too.

Agreed, Krimsyn will want to shoulder the blame, if it wasn't for the job she'd advertised they would never have known Leigh exists.

I hope you'll like him when he's angry.

  13. Kim, yeah, it would bring Leigh relief to know someone's at least looking for her.

  14. Brookeshire, she doesn't at all. But whichever way she acts from here on won't matter because Devon can't stand the sight of her now.

I, too, love Cheryl to bits. It's such a shame because this was probably the last time we see her, until maybe after the 50th prompt. As drunk as she is most of the time, she still knows what's going on, and she tries, in her own, drunk, abrupt way, to point her daughter in the right direction. But of course Tamsyn brushes her off, there's no way she'll listen to a drunk.

You're right, Vlad is more powerful than Krisis, and it could potentially affect the outcome.

I love your reference. It made me laugh so loudly I scared DH, he's trying to catch up on his 40 winks. But Krisis, Mario? Isn't there a sexier character? Anyone but Mario! LOL.

    Thanks for stopping by.

  15. Wow Dev is mad! But I don't blame him!! I would be too if my lil sis went missing

    ReplyDelete
  16. Kristen, exactly, family means everything to Devon, and Leigh's his only family so he's bound to be mad.

  17. ~ Final Fantasy would be a more fitting analogy!
    ~ I love that game too!lol!;)
~ Sorry, nerdy here, HAD to have her say!(",)
