Summary: Hello Lily Frost...

________

Bridgeport, present day

The moment he held the tiny bundle in his arms, he fell in love with her…

He couldn’t tear his eyes away from her. She was perfect in every way. Her tiny fingers and toes, her rosebud lips, her small nose. When she opened her eyes, and gazed at him unseeingly, with the same shade of blue eyes as his, he could swear he was in heaven.
She looked like an angel, and he could stare at her forever…Until her mother demanded to have her back.

Gently he handed the baby over to Jacqueline, wondering how a vile creature like her could give birth to such a perfect angel. The abundance of love he felt for his little girl now, made up for months of indifference.
Dr. O’Hara came into the room then, followed by a nurse. They settled around the hospital cot and began filling out the forms for the birth certificate.

‘What shall we call her?” Jacqueline asked softly. He turned away from the window, and shrugged.
They hadn’t talked about names. They hadn’t talked about anything really, like where the baby would stay, would he move in with them, or they with him?
“Your input would be nice you know!” Jacqueline hissed waspishly, creating a sudden discomfort in the room.

The baby screamed.  Dr. O’Hara and the nurse squirmed in their seats, throwing wary glances at Krisis and Jacqueline.

“Lily…Lily Frost,” he replied, and got back to his window.

Lily Frost was his grandmother.

216 years before, Margaret Frost was eighteen when she was sexually assaulted by a man carrying the vampire gene. Her parents, Lily and Alfred, wouldn’t let her get rid of the baby when they found out she was pregnant; abortion then was taboo.

Margaret hated the demon spawn growing inside of her, and when she gave birth six months later to twins, she called them Krisis and Krimsyn. Krisis for the terrible crisis she’d had to face, and Krimsyn, for her blood taken against her will by their demon father. The strange names were her curse to them; as if being born with a vampire gene wasn’t a curse enough.

Six months after their birth, Alfred died in his sleep, and Margaret left a week after his funeral. Lily took care of the infants, raising them like they were her own, not an easy task, especially since their staple food was fresh blood.

Occasionally Margaret would come around, dragging along her latest boyfriend but she never stayed long enough to get to know the twins.

Lily Frost, lived until the ripe age of 85, and it had almost killed Krimsyn and Krisis when she died; she was the only mother they ever knew, the only constant person in their lives… He had no doubt in his mind, his grandmother would be proud of his little bundle of joy.
“Lily Frost it is then,” Jacqueline agreed. He was surprised she didn’t fight him on this one.

He murmured a polite “Excuse me,” before he left the room. He had to break the news to his family…

  1. Awwwwww!!! The baby!
    Can Jackie die now?

Sad story of their life. The names make sense.
Who'd move in with who? Umm, how about not happening. If I were Krisis, I'd always record every conversation with Jackie, carry a hidden camera, and get a lawyer cause she is really about to try her hand now!

  2. Yes, Lily Frost :)
Mhhh, let me think about that.........................NO!
Jackie can't die now. She's just had a baby, and the little bundle needs.

Yeah it is sad. That clears up the weird names mystery.

Krisis had to bond with Lily, they can't keep carting her to and fro.

LOL @ Krisis recording every conversation. That would just be weird. Thanks for reading Qui.

  3. I love the name - and I'm with Qui. Jacqueline can die now. I can't imagine Krisis is thinking about living with Jacquie - there's no way!
"You need help with the kid? Drop her off!"
I'm so glad to see leigh sticking with him through this. And it was nice that he'd explained about Laura to her. I love them together. DIE JACQUELINE!!!!!

  4. Jill, glad you like the name. Hehehe, LMAO. Not yet, she has to care for the baby.
Yeah, about Laura, it needed to be said, they couldn't leave it unattended any longer.

  5. ~ Welcome Lily Frost, your daddy loves you, wich should make up for some of her mother's indifferance!
~ Were to live,I guess he goes home to his place seeing as he can not stand to be in the same room as Jackie, but being a new dad has just changed his priority, & he would want to make sure Lily is well cared for!So I guess he WILL have to stay at Jackies,to make sure Lily is OK!
~ I just hope Jackie leaves time for Leigh in Krisis life, but knowing her she will make every excuse to keep him close!
~ Loved it Val,& sweet little Lily!(",)

  6. I am very convinced now that you're torturing us purposely with this Jackie thing!

There are tons of babies born out here with only fathers! Her whole pregnancy was about getting what she wanted out of Krisis, as will Lily's life be now. I don't see how she'll be a positive influence on Lily at all.

  7. Awww Lily is gorgeous! I'm sure her Daddy will give her enough love to make up fr her evil Mother. I loved the story behind their names, very creative and well thought out!Very sad though, but understandable. I just hope Jackie doesn't make his life to hellish now she's had the baby.

  8. The baby is so adorable. I'm so happy for Krisis, but Jackie is still a complete bitch. I'm glad we finally learned the background on Krimsyn and Krysis' names as well.

I look back on the story and I see how far it's gone in these past weeks. This is one of the best sims stories I've ever read, and I've read plenty of them. I just wanted to share my admiration for your talent and I'm glad to have taken this journey along with the characters, even though it was a complete roller coaster xD. I am so happy to know that you are continuing the story, and I can't wait for it to unravel even more.

  9. ~ I Voted,& I think it only fair for Leigh to have a more even footing, against Jackie!
~ I know she is older & there for stronger, but as a human, she does not have a chance!
~ It will also ease Krisis mind too as at the moment he is deathly scared of losing her, this way he could relax a little!
~ If she stays human,Krisis will have to put his life on hold,to keep an eye on Leigh,if not for the threat of Jackie, then the adoring groupies, that would love nothing more than to be closer to there hearts desire!

  11. I loved, LOVED the back story on the name Lily Frost, and about his mother and how he came to be. The genetic tie.

Guess What? I voted the relationship continue on as is...for now. The conflict and torment that can be mined here of their human/vamp states is too delicious to ignore, but hey, you go with whatever feel right to you!

  12. Awesome history there!! And I must say, I kinda knew Krimsyn's name dealt with their vampire heritage but I am so glad to get the full story! Great job (both of today's prompts!) I am sad to think only 2 left CURSE YOU!!!

Sigh I <3 ya Val! Thank you for this story! It's always a welcomed treat :)

  13. Qui, LOL. Honestly, no torture. Jackie loves Krisis, and admittedly she has a weird way of showing it but that doesn't mean her feelings are invalid. She's still a woman with fears and needs.

    Karima,
-daddy does love her to bits.
-at this stage, he can't stand Jackie so living together is not an option. Lily will be with Jackie and he'll drop in to see her. Besides, Leigh wouldn't be so understanding if it came down to that. So far she's been really understanding and level headed, and patient with this whole baby thing, but if he moved in with Jackie, he'd be pushing her too far, and that's some place he doesn't want to go to.
-It would be ideal if all three could reach an understanding, but no chance of that happening...
-Thank you for all your services, for being my sounding board for the storyline, and whatever else rubbish I came up with.

  15. Kim, she is a joy. I can see Krisis doting on her. And Jackie topping all his efforts, she's not one to be outdone. Thank you, I thought long and hard about that back story, but the name Krisis was inspired by the game Crysis. I've never played the game, but I just thought the name sounded cool, and would make a perfect name for the lead male in one of my stories, and that's how Krisis was born :)
Jackie will be more demanding now that the baby's here. It's on Krisis to learn to say no, and assert himself.

  16. Brookeshire, Lily is a cutie. Please sign up at Desirable Discourses. The invitation is purely for selfish reasons on my part, so you and I can chat often, and so you can see the toddler spam I've put up there. And there's loads of "I hate Jackie" fans over there, so you'll fit right in :)

I would have thrown in their background much sooner, but the prompts just seemed to drift in a totally different direction. I'm glad it's cleared up though, and everyone knows what's behind the names.

Thank you. I don't think you'll ever know how much hearing you say that means to me. I remember getting your first comment, and I was blown away by the sincerity and the genuine support from you. I'm honored you decided to tag along on this journey, and you're right, it's been a hell of a roller coaster.

Yeah, the first prompt from the second table is done, it's just the pictures that need to be taken, so sometime during the week or next weekend it should be up.

Again, a HUGE, HUGE, thank you for all your feedback and support :)

  17. Wow, Leah, I bet she's a cutie too :)

  18. Karen, it was a bit too late in the story to throw in their history, but I couldn't move on to the second prompt table without tying up the mystery on their names, their humble beginnings, etc.

And thank you for voting. I know what you mean about their relationship. I love it as is, but Krisis is really, really adamant about turning her in game. He keeps rolling that wish, and I keep ignoring it.

  19. I hope that answers your earlier question when you wanted to know if my vampires were different. It's like I mentioned at DD, the story itself is based on EA's construction of vampires in Late Night, and not on classic vampire mythologies.

Yes, two more prompts, and the saga will continue in the next prompt table. But "a little set up is due".

Thank you, glad you liked them :)

  20. I like the name Lily and I liked that you included more backstory.

  21. - WOW! She let him name the baby... *faints*

    - Ok back, now can we take care of this evil biotch before she ruins everyones lives around her?

    - I am not so sure I like the idea of him moving in with her or vice versa, though I would understand his reasons for doing so, it's just bad news no matter which way you spin it! Kids get shuffled to and fro every day from house to house when parents aren't together and being that Lily is just a baby it wouldn't be as traumatic. I really just hate the thought of Krisis spending anymore time around Dr. Jekyll than he has to...

  22. Yay! Vamp-baby! That's so sweet/sad about Krisis' grandmother...
