________

Bridgeport, present day

Eloise answered the door, and she wished she hadn’t. Tamsyn gave her the creeps, she was unpredictable and unstable and there was no telling what she would do. To say she was afraid of the other woman was an understatement.

“Can I come in?” Tamsyn asked. Her polite demeanor shocked Eloise, and she found herself moving aside to let her in.
Tamsyn did a double take. There were three vampires in the room, plus Devon. She knew Krimsyn and J.D. from reading about them in the newspapers and watching their live shows on VMC, the vampire music channel. She correctly guessed the teenage girl was Michaela, Leigh’s student. But Krisis was nowhere in sight. Thank heavens for that. She highly doubted she would have made it this far if he was around.
For an intense few minutes the Frosts and Devon glared at her. Blaming her. Hating her. She’d brought this brutality on Leigh.

She offered a smile, but no one smiled back, in fact they all looked away, growling under their breaths.
“Dev, can we talk, please?” She asked softly.
Wordlessly Devon strode out of the front door, and she followed hotly on his heels. More hisses and growls at her departure.
“Make it quick Tamsyn,” Devon murmured. There was no bitterness in his voice, no anger, no venom. He looked defeated, and fatigued. The wariness in his eyes made him look much older than his years.

“How’s Leigh?” She asked softly.

Devon gave her an incredulous look and shook his head. She had a nerve, coming to his house and act like she cared.

He ignored her question and leant against the wall, carefully watching her through hooded eyes, ready to jump on her the moment she started acting crazy.

Would he ever be rid of her?  He’d told her it was over, yet she was constantly in his life, making a mess. He should have listened to his mother, and settled for Eloise from the start. Somehow his mom always knew he’d end up with Eloise, but he always wanted the wild ones, like Tamsyn. Look where that got him!
“Dev, it’s taken me a long time to get here, to admit I have serious problems. None of them have anything to do with you. It’s deep-seated issues from my childhood and it’s only now, both mother, and I are starting to admit it. We’ve entered a family therapy program and our counselor suggested a change of scenery will do us some good. We’re leaving in a few days, but I couldn't go without seeing you and telling you how sorry I am. I truly am. I never meant to cause you any pain. Please forgive me?”
Devon stared at her, open mouthed, unable to believe what he’d just heard.
“You’re fucking kidding me, right?” He blurted, still shaking his head.

Family therapy? Deep-seated issues from her childhood? Load of bull, that’s all it was! Any second now he expected her to tell him it was a joke. But she didn’t, instead she kept looking at him, a sad, regretful look in her eyes.
“I’m the wrong person you should be asking forgiveness from. I’ll never forgive you for what you did to Leigh. Remember how you said she should let those vampires drink from her for that amount of money? Well one of them did!” He screamed at her with so much hate, she gasped and backed herself into the wall. She was trapped.
“You should have seen her, her body covered in bruises and bite marks. And you know who I blame for it? You! You brought it on her. You wished it on her, and you have no idea the kind of shit she’s been through because you couldn’t keep your mouth shut!” She couldn’t move, couldn't run away from his accusations, they came at her from every direction.
“If you ever loved me…ever cared about me, you’ll leave us alone. You’ve caused enough problems these last few weeks to last us a lifetime,” Devon added after a  painful stretch of silence.

“I’m sorry…I have to go. I shouldn’t have come!” She screeched, before making her hasty escape...

  2. I'll give it to her for admitting she has issues, that was big of her but sorry can't fix the pain or take away the fact that Leigh is suffering.
She needs that help! I hope it does wonders on her!

That apology belonged to Leigh. Did she think saying it to Dev would make him change his mind about her?

  3. -Somehow your comments always make me laugh Karima. You're right, she'd better run, or she'll have more than deep-seated issues to deal with.
-She really was genuine, but to the wrong person.
-That's the end of Tamsyn for this season, so the vamps will have to find another snack.
-You're my friend, you have to love it. LOL!

  4. Qui, it was a huge step for her to admit it, but it comes a little too late. Leigh and Krisis are both in so much pain right now, not to mention Devon, and no amount of sorries will undo things.

LOL. She does need help. At least she's taken the first step.

It did belong to Leigh, but she couldn't face her, and she'd rather deal with Devon.

  5. This is gonna be funny when I say it but the simmy self of me that I made last night is totally wearing the dress Tamsyn is wearing!! haha
Dev very "mad" I am singing on the word mad. Leigh went through crap because of her. Krisis is now feeling guilty just for leaving for the tour. Their world just keeps falling apart. I hope Leigh and Krisis make it through together!. Tamsyn she just needs a wake up call and try to start fresh.

  6. Kristen, should I be worried you and Tamsyn like the same things?

I think she's had that wakeup call. When she saw she was responsible for Leigh being kidnapped she realized change was needed.

  7. I kinda like that Tamsyn at least tried to apologize, but Devon's right, you can't forgive the kind of hate she had to have to do what she did to not only Leigh but everyone else involved.

I hope she gets the help she needs from this Family therapy session and I really hope she leaves everyone alone! LOL Good riddance to bad rubbish :P

Great update (home for lunch and pleasantly pleased!!)

  8. Daijahv, true that, too much has happened, and not just the stuff about Leigh, it will be hard for Devon or anyone to forgive the hate she has.

LOL @ 'Good riddance to bad rubbish'. I used to use that line at my sisters whenever we'd find. It made me laugh so hard when I saw you use it.

I envy you. What I wouldn't give to sneak home for lunch.

I caught up on all your chapters while I was at work, now I'm just waiting for the next update.

  9. Her apology is sincere and she is trying to get help. Maybe she can truly change.

  10. seaweedy, it is sincere, and she is trying to get help, but a lot of her actions can't be overlooked. There's too much hurt and pain, and it will take a whole lot more than a simple apology to fix things. Thanks for stopping by.

  11. Wow, it took a lot of guts for Tamsyn to apologize to Devon, but she shouldn't have expected him to forgive her, especially after what she caused. Then again, if you look at the big picture, wouldn't have Vlad found out about Leigh eventually with or without Tamsyn saying anything? They did live in the same town right? And is it just me, or does Tamsyn have very similar hair to Eloise now? That's what I find fishy, because in the last chapter we saw her in, she mentioned that she would do anything to get on Devon's good side and to make things right. I keep on going back and forth though, because without Tamsyn, they would have never found Leigh since she told them about her talk with Vlad... I'm on the fence about Tamsyn right now. :/

I started on "Life of the Party" also. I follow so many stories now HAHA it's taking over my life :P But everyone is seriously so talented I just love them and can't get enough!!!

  13. Damn right she shouldn't have come. I feel sorry for Leigh, all that torture she endure.

I've been reading Krisis for a week now and already I'm hooked to it. A very good story.

  14. Brookeshire, you're right, Vlad would have found out about Leigh anyway, but Devon is just angry with the fact that she couldn't keep her mouth shut. You raised a good point there about her being instrumental in Leigh's rescue. The hair is similar, but just my mistake, she's not planning to replace Eloise, her mad streak hasn't gone that far. You've raised very good points, I can see why you're on the fence.

  15. Daijahv, you lucky devil. I know what you mean about following stories. I hardly have time to read RL books anymore. LOL!

  18. Aeon, I guess you're one of the few people who will miss her, huh?

  19. I know everyone is supposed to be hating Tamsyn but I feel sorry for her, I mean, she just came to apologize which means that she's actually sorry for the awful domino effect she set in motion. And I like her new do.

  20. I'm not sure if i believe her, which is neither here nor there, Devs' right, because of her extended wallowing in the pit of self pity she was doing, Leigh was almost killed and tensions that should not have been there are.

I hope Leigh can overcome this experience and give Krisis a good go at a relationship..of course i could always read a head and find out but what's the fun in that?=b...edenz~

  21. Well, I felt sorry for her once and it bit me in the ass, so I'm not doing it again -.- I also can't tell if she's genuinely sorry or if the story about that therapy program is true or not, but either way I'm glad to see the last of her. If this really will be the last of her.-.-
