115. Full Circle

Barnacle Bay, present day...
“Fuck!” Devon panicked when they arrived at Tamsyn’s house and found the place abuzz with all sorts of law enforcement agents.
The media crew looked very comfortable in their camping chairs, sipping on lukewarm coffee.
A reporter from Channel 1 News was updating the whole world on the "hostage" situation Devon and J.D. knew nothing about because their cell phones were turned off during their flight and none of them had thought of tuning into the news on the plane.
One of the SWAT agents was on the phone trying to get through to Tamsyn.

Devon correctly guessed he was the negotiator, and his very presence there wasn’t comforting. It was obvious Tamsyn wasn’t cooperating, and if she felt cornered she’d go crazy on everyone. Devon, knew this first hand. He’d seen the results of her rage.
Carla and Gabe immediately got down to questioning by standers. It became clear, very quickly, what had prompted the police and media blizzard...
John’s wife, Sandra, had gone to the police to report Tamsyn after going through her garbage. The cops had then descended on her house some five hours ago. So far they’d been trying to get Tamsyn to answer the house phone, but she wasn’t picking up, and they had no other means of communicating with her. The baby’s cries, which could be heard earlier, had ceased.
“That bitch!” Devon raged when he heard Tamsyn could have been drugging his son all along to keep him quiet.

“You don’t know if that’s true,” J.D. tried to keep him calm, but he wouldn’t have any of it.
“I need to go in there and get my son!” His tirade was cut short when he saw Carla and Gabe approach with the hostage negotiator. Introductions were made all around and firm handshakes were exchanged.

J.D. wanted to know what the plan was. Maxwell, the negotiator, explained they couldn’t just storm the house since they had no clue where she was keeping Blake.
“I can talk to her. She’s my ex. I know her well. She’ll listen to me,” Devon suggested. Maxwell didn’t like the idea, but he promised he’d pitch it with his higher-ups. He drifted off, leaving Devon with the vampires.
An hour later Maxwell came back. They’d received a go ahead from the higher-ups. If Devon could talk to Tamsyn, it would be great. More precious seconds were wasted coaching him, he had to reach out to her and be empathetic to her cause. All the bullsh*t he’d rather not do, but for Blake he would.

“Okay, remember what I said. Don’t blame her. Don’t accuse her. We are trying to get her to open up,” Maxwell reminded him again as he passed the megaphone to him.
“Tamsyn, it’s Devon.” He began, but stopped and let the megaphone hang limply in his hand, suddenly at a loss for words. His voice sounded strange on the loud speaker. It was so close, so polite, yet hollow and false at the same time.

Maxwell and J.D. nodded their encouragement and he tried again to talk to his ex.
This time he was more confident and sincere as he pleaded with Tamsyn to pick up the phone. He explained he wanted to talk to her in private, and he’d really rather do it over the phone, or if she wanted, he could come inside the house.
A few minutes went by, the landline inside the cabin rang a few times before it disconnected. After the fourth try, Tamsyn finally picked up the phone.

Maxwell passed the handset to Devon.
She sounded like she was crying and she was threatening to do all sorts of crazy things. But what worried Devon and the cops the most was her promise to take Blake someplace safe, where no one would take him away from her. Devon’s heart stopped when she said this, processing her threat. Maxwell and his team encouraged him to keep talking to her.
And so he carried on with the lies, warming up to his role, praying that if Eloise was watching any of it, she wouldn’t believe a word he was saying.
He clutched the phone tightly in his hand, speaking softly with Tamsyn. He told her he understood why she took Blake and he didn’t blame her, this whole mess was his own fault. He shouldn’t have left her. He should have treated her well, and if she gave him a second chance, he’d be the best boyfriend ever and a good father to Blake.

Up until now he’d just pitied Tamsyn, felt sorry for her. But now he seriously hated her. He hated her for making his life a public spectacle. But more than anything, he hated her for putting Eloise through a week of heartbreak he wasn’t even sure they’d survive as a couple.

But he carried on with the lies, choking on his tears, the cameras zoomed in on his pain.

“I love you. Please give us a second chance!” He gagged and almost threw up when he said this. All lies. He wanted to rip out her heart and serve it to her for breakfast.
“You are lying to me!” Tamsyn shrieked on her end. “I know you asked her to marry you. I gave you two years of my life and what do I have to show for it? I wanted your kids and you always refused, telling me there was plenty of time for that. I loved you most. I wanted to be with you forever and grow old with you but you dumped me at the first sign of trouble! I have something better now Dev. I don’t need you! I don’t need your bullshit. I have our son. He’ll love me forever. He won’t leave me like you did!”
“I’m sorry, please. Let me come inside and we can talk about this. I promise I won’t leave you again. Please, just let me come in,” Devon pleaded.

Maxwell and his team shook their heads frantically. This wasn’t part of the plan. They couldn’t send him inside. But now that his words were out there, they couldn’t take them back either.
Tamsyn faltered for just a brief second before she agreed.

“Okay…You can come in. Tell everyone to back away from the porch; I’ll open the door for you. But no funny business Dev. I have a gun and I will use it. You really don’t want anything to happen to our son, do you?” Tamsyn threatened before she cut the call.
“Are you insane? You were only supposed to talk to her and get her to open up. We can’t send you in there!” Maxwell glowered, rolling his shoulders, trying to ease his tension.
Devon didn’t stick around to hear the rest of his tirade. He ran up the front porch, unaware that J.D. was close behind him.

The newshounds were still relentless in their pursuit for drama, trying to catch every bit of the action, camera bulbs flashed on, microphones were shoved in their faces, bystanders clamored closer and the uniformed police were having a hard time keeping them beyond the yellow line.

The SWAT team, who’d been idle for the past few hours, waiting for Tamsyn to give herself up, were suddenly on their feet scrambling after Devon and J.D.
“What is he doing here?” Tamsyn screamed through the crack in the door, waving the gun at Devon.
He turned around to tell J.D. to step back just as Tamsyn fired a warning shot, screaming at them to back away or she’d kill Blake.
Everything after that was a blur.
J.D., with his superhuman speed, pushed Devon aside to get him out of harm’s way as Tamsyn took her second shot.
He swiftly got to his feet and kicked the door open just as Tamsyn was about to close it.
The force he applied on the door sent her flying in the air and she crashed to the floor.
He swooped in on her, holding her in place.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Devon run into the bedroom to get Blake.
Devon broke down when he picked up his son from the crib.

As lifeless as he was, Blake was the most beautiful sight ever…

The End

Credits: Jill, thank you for your Newsome couple. They rocked!

Karima,  thank you for the light! Your support and friendship means more than words will ever express.

And a huge, huge, huge thank you to everyone who's stuck with this season and Krisis as whole. I cannot tell you how touched I am by the constant support and feedback I've received from everyone. It's been incredible! You may not have noticed, but your comments, your kind but sometimes crazy words and gestures made me smile on gloomy days, they picked me up when I had my lows.

So thank you Krisis readers, because of you there will be a Season 4...

  1. I must apologize for my absence once again. Life is crazy, but wow Val. You knocked it out of the park again. I wouldn't change anything about the entire season. Everything was perfect, from the emotions to the events, absolutely everything. I am so glad that Blake has safely returned and everything will return back to normal.... well as normal as their lives can be. Is it bad that I still feel pity for Tamsyn? I know I shouldn't, but for some reason I feel sorry for her still. She obviously has some psychological problems.

On the other hand, what she did was completely wrong and tactless. She was also very stupid for thinking she could get away with it. Now that everything is going to settle, I hope to see Krisis and Leigh progress *cough*BABIEEEEEEEEEES!*cough*. I can't wait to read season 4.

Keep up the great work Val and I want you to know, that you deserve all the praise (and much more) that you get. You're a very talented writer and I'm glad I've been able to be with the story from the beginning. :)

  2. I hope the baby is alright! What a good and insecure ending. Very good pictures.
Val what a great season! Can't wait for your next one.

  3. OMG, Brookeshire, *runs and tackles you to the ground and smothers you with hugs*

It's so great to hear from you again. Don't apologize, I understand. RL does get crazy half the time.

*blushes*, thank you. That makes me happy to know you didn't find the season a horrible mess to read through.

Yeah, finally I can put that storyline to bed. And not at all, I feel the same way too about Tamsyn, she does have psych issues which I'll briefly explain in season 4. But yeah I'm super stoked to be returning the focus back to Leigh and Krisis.

Again, thank you so, so much for your kind words and feedback and for remembering Krisis. And I'm thrilled to have met you from the very beginning too.

  4. "As lifeless as he was, Blake was the most beautiful sight ever..."

Oh no! Please tell me he's ok?!?!

Great chapter! Was on the edge of my seat all the way to the end hoping she'd surrender and everything would work itself out :)

  5. Dutchy,

LOL @ "great and insecure ending". Not my intention.

Thanks for the compliment on the shots. The posing was such a bitch! Glad it's done.

About El's pics, we'll see how the rest of that night unfolds.

    Thanks for reading.

Would I ever do that to you, give you a heart attack? LOL. But we'll see.

Thank you. At least it's over now and you can just sit back and relax :)

    Thanks for reading.

  7. Caught up once more!

Tell J.D to give her head a smack against the floor for me (maybe two or three)!

I hope that Blake is okay, I couldn't imagine myself, as a mother, doing any of the things that Tamsyn did...but sadly there are people out there that are just like her! It breaks my heart! I am so happy that they finally found him and I hope that they found him in time and that what ever it was that Tamsyn did to him won't have any long term effects.

    Excellent season Val!

  8. omg omg omg ... season 4 starts in about 10 minutes, right? RIGHT? Poor Blake! He better be okay! I can't take much more of this stress!

(Seriously though, great season with an exciting ending.)

  9. Oh wow! This was so intense but that last line bought me to tears!

    An emotional season!

  10. Jenn,

Thank you for that! You deserve a gold star :)

LOL. I bet JD'd like that very much, giving Tamsyn a smack.

Blake...I can't say too much on him without ruining the 1st chapter of Season 4, but yeah, poor baby, being ripped from his mom like that. Horrible stuff I don't wish on any parent.

    Thanks a mil for reading!

  11. Qui,

Sorry about that. Didn't mean to.

    Thanks for reading!

  12. Yay! JD is AWESOME!!!!
I don't like the line "As lifeless as he was..." That makes me nervous.
I hope Eloise understands that whatever Devon said to Tamsyn he said to get Blake back and that he didn't mean it. I have a good feeling these two can get through this whole mess and be happy...if Blake survives :(
I hope JD broke that crazy bitches NECK when he kickd that door.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh this was fantastic! Every detail is so perfect, so beautifully written and framed and shot! Of course JD would rush in there; I wonder why they didn't send in vampires to begin with! I hope Blake is ok, just drugged.

    Wonderful season!!

  16. I was having a bad day, but this made me so happy!

I'm relieved that Blake is okay! I know the characters aren't real, but they seem like it.

    This was a great chapter!

  17. What? He better not be dead (Blake that is). Anyway great season finale. Can't wait for season 4. Super exited.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Holley,

LOL. You sound pleased with JD.

It should make you nervous! LMAO. Just kidding. We'll see if he's still alive and breathing.

Yeah, if Blake makes it, they can def work things out and put this behind them, with time.

LMAO at the last line. Your rants me laugh so hard.

    Thanks for reading.

  19. Beth,

    Thank you, I'm blushing now.

True, this would have ended much quicker if JD had gone in from the start.

Thank you so, so much, for all your continued support.

  20. Rose.

LMAO. Is he or isn't he dead? Mhh, we'll see. Thanks. I'm glad you loved them.

  21. Leah,

Aw, I'm sorry, didn't mean to make you cry.

Are you saying what I think you're saying? If so, congrats!

Ah, I'm sorry about the stress, didn't mean to. *hugs*, it's all over now.

Thank you so very much for this. I appreciate it!

  25. When I read "The End" I was like NOOOOOOOOO!!!! but then I read further down and theres gonna be a season 4 whoop whoop !!!
I can officially say your sim story is the best one ever on blogger !! And I can't believe theres another season, but give me a whole season of Krisis and I'd give up t.v anyday !!! I first started to read your stories a couple of months back, and i had 2 seasons to catch up ! but it was totally worth it :) lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. Beth,

Thank you, that's got to be the biggest and nicest compliment I've received for Krisis. I'm so thrilled you stuck with this and you're finally caught up.

Yep, I can't believe either, that there'll be a season 4, but apparently Leigh and Krisis still have so much of their lives to share.

Thank you so, so much for your kind words.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You got my emotions stirred up, I was sooo happy when J.D. stormed in behind Devon like that, and Devon was able to grab the baby. Now I'm left with the horror filled words of "As lifeless as he was". Lifeless as in he was asleep and just looked lifeless or lifeless as in he was dead and felt really light lifeless??

Bravo Bravo! Loved how you ended this. Great Season.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nicky,

I hope that's a good thing, getting your emotions all stirred up?

Yeah, JD just had to save the day, and Devon couldn't wait to hold his on in his arms again.

There could be a number of reasons why he's "lifeless"

Thank you. Glad you loved it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. During those last three chapters I was so goggle-eyed face against screening. OMG. It was so! I mean I just! It was all! SO INTENSE!

It was so mad and I was just shockedfacing at every turn! I can't belive the season end's here...But it's ok there'll be another.

Your writing is just so amazing, and it was all so perfectly set-up, played out, I loved it majorly. Oh Gosh.

I CANNOT BELIEVE TAMSYN WAS DRUGGING BLAKE. Holy Simoly that made me want to scream, and cry, and beat my head against a brick wall somewhere. I've changed my stance, I hate tamsyn again and SHE SHOULD DIIIIIIIIIIE.

    DIE. DIIIIIE.

Also, uhm, Blake lifeless body? What is this? He's still alive right? He must be...?!

I feel faint and swoonsome. I hope everything goes okey doke and I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT SEASON STARTS!! I srsly hope Eloise is ok and get normal again once Blakey's back. Tell me everythong's alright??

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow. My mind is completely blown. This is seriously an epic story. I've read it all now, catching up (it only took a week :P ) and omg.

Tamsyn needs to die, seriously. Drugging a baby... cruel.
I really hope the baby's okay.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Eni, yay, so you saw the last chapter! Lol, sori didn't mean to make you goggle-eyed. Intense is good, I hope?

Yeah, I thought it was a good place to end it and S4 will start soon, 12 chapters are already written, looks like it's going to be longer than S3.

Thank you *blushes* that means a lot to me coming from you, you are one of the most amazing simstorytellers I know.

That's a big speculation, we don't know that yet. She may just have been sick and taking cough mixture herself or she may have been drugging him.

Lol, too late to change your vote now.

Lifeless has a number of connotations :-)

Eni, everything's alright, relax, you're in good hands.

Your crazy comments are what got me through this season, thank you so, so very much for all your constant support.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Rose, so soon? It's not even a week yet, lol.
    Thanks for stopping by :-)
    S4 will start shortly

  33. Moonstruck, wow, I'm blown away that you're all caught up. Thank you, I appreciate the time you took to give Krisis a chance.

Lol, I see you've joined the "let's kill Tamsyn" club.

The baby is in good hands.

    Thanks for reading.

  38. If Tamsyn is arrested she needs to go to a padded room....maybe one of those old school mental institutions where the doctors did all kinda crazy things to their patients. At the very least she deserves a handful of decades behind bars. She really just held a baby hostage? smh...

    Any ways, great season!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow what an explosive ending, seriously this is like a TV series, you should be writing for desperate housewives or something! The shots you got were perfect and the tension ran through this season until the very end, great great work and onto the next season for me :)

  40. *stops to catch breath*

Finally... Caught... Up... Took me a couple of days but it was definitely worth it!

Oh... My... god... Fantastic story, I can't even find the proper words! What to say? Wow, just wow.

It was stupid of him to run in like that, but I think we all knew Devon wouldn't be able to keep his cool. But still, "as lifeless as he was..." Oh no! No no no... I can't even begin to fathom how El is going to react...

Oh I'm eagerly waiting for the next season, well done!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yay! I'm nearly caught up! I'm so glad that they got Blake back and Tamsyn didn't kill anyone *sigh of relief* Thank goodness for J.D.!

  42. Season three down, now I just need season 4 and I can catch p with Season 5.
This story as just been so amazing, Val, I've been loving every chapter. Can't wait to catch up, it just kills me too se the update notices and be unable to read new chapters until I'm caught up.

  43. Valpre, what a great story! You're a very talented writer. I only started reading Krisis a few days ago, and I always start at the very beginning. I've made it through the first 3 chapters, and I'm going to keep reading until I'm all caught up! Well, I have to work, sleep and eat in between, but don't hold that against me. ;)
